DMCA Copyright Infringement Notification

Emtiaz PDF Tools respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA), the text of which may be found on the U.S. Copyright Office website at https://www.copyright.gov/legislation/dmca.pdf, we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using our website if such claims are reported to our designated copyright agent.

Critical Hosting Disclaimer

Before submitting a take-down notification, copyright owners must understand our site's architecture: Emtiaz PDF Tools does not host, upload, store, copy, or index any user files. All processing of documents occurs locally within the memory buffer (RAM) of the user's web browser. Because we do not store files on our servers, there are no files on our hosting database for us to remove, delete, or block. If a third party is using our open-source scripts to modify copyrighted material, they are executing that script locally on their own computer. We have no access to their device or file systems. Therefore, any take-down notices for specific processed files cannot be resolved by us since we do not host the files.

How to File a Valid DMCA Notice

If you believe that our static website content (such as our blog articles, SVG graphics, sitemaps, or custom developer code) infringes upon your copyright, you may submit a written copyright notification to our agent at dmca@pdf.emtiaztools.com. To be valid under the DMCA, your notice must include the following information:

  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed, including the exact URL of the page on our site;
  4. Your contact details, including your address, telephone number, and an email address;
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
  6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
