Privacy Policy

Our Commitment to Privacy

At Emtiaz PDF Tools, accessible from pdf.emtiaztools.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information that is collected and recorded by our website and how we handle your data. Because our application is built on a local execution model, our policy is simple: your documents never leave your computer.

If you have additional questions or require more information about our Privacy Policy, do not hesitate to contact us at privacy@pdf.emtiaztools.com.

Zero Server Upload Compliance

This site operates as a static client-side web application. Unlike standard document conversion websites that upload your files to remote web servers for compiling, Emtiaz PDF Tools performs 100% of all calculations, merges, splits, image processing, OCR, and compression inside your local browser memory buffer (RAM). Your document files are never transmitted across the network to our servers. Because we do not upload, copy, store, or see your files, it is impossible for us to share them with third parties, analyze their content, or experience data leaks. This architecture complies fully with the strictest data security standards, including GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA.

Information We Automatically Collect

Like most websites, we collect standard server log files to monitor website performance and security. The information in the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks. This data is not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of this information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

LocalStorage & Session State

To improve user experience, we may use your browser's native localStorage and sessionStorage APIs. These APIs allow us to save your user preferences (such as dark mode toggle, default download formats, or tool-specific settings) directly on your device. This data is stored locally in your browser sandbox and is never transmitted to our servers. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser cache.

Cookies and Google AdSense

To cover hosting fees, domain renewals, and development resources, we partner with third-party advertising services, primarily Google AdSense. Google AdSense uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to our visitors based upon their visit to our site and other sites on the internet. Visitors may choose to decline the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google Ad and Content Network Privacy Policy at the following URL: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

These third-party ad servers use technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on Emtiaz PDF Tools, which are sent directly to users' browsers. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on websites that you visit. Note that Emtiaz PDF Tools has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

GDPR Data Protection Rights

We want to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

Since all processing of your documents occurs on your hardware under your direct control, you are the data controller and processor. Our website merely provides the scripts that execute the actions inside your browser.

Children's Information

Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity. Emtiaz PDF Tools does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
